Best known as the breast and body doctor (@breastnbodydoc), Aisha Baron, MD, is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon practicing exclusively at Breast Body Beauty Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery in Marietta, Georgia, and serving the metro Atlanta area. She is one of the few African American female plastic surgeons in the United States. In addition to cosmetic breast and body contouring, Dr. Baron has a love for breast reconstructive surgery and microsurgical (DIEP flap) breast reconstruction. As a cancer survivor herself, she can relate personally to the physical and emotional trials her patients experience during a cancer diagnosis and treatment. Her own cancer journey helped her become more understanding with her patients. She gladly goes the extra mile to ensure that all of her patients are comfortable with the procedures they plan together. Dr. Baron is married with three children and is also a conversational Spanish speaker who is able to communicate with a diverse range of patients.

Education:
Dr. Baron attended Spelman College, where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a Spanish minor. She completed her medical education at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN. At Meharry, she served as her fourth-year class President, graduated magna cum laude, and was the first Meharry student to ever match directly into an integrated plastic surgery residency program. Dr. Baron accomplished this at Baylor College of Medicine at the Texas Medical Center in Houston. She was the first African-American female resident accepted into that program.
Personal:
Born in Boston to Jamaican immigrants, Dr. Baron has lived in many places all over the United States. However, her heart belongs to Georgia. After moving to Stone Mountain, GA, at the age of 12 from Southern California, she knew it was her hometown. She is happy to be back (after years of being away for medical training) to practice cosmetic and reconstructive surgery at her practice, Breast Body Beauty. Dr. Baron resides in a suburb of Atlanta and is married with three children.
